When its time

It be on my mind like wow
you be on my mind like wow
Sure about the way
Not sure about the day

Its just the way i'm feeling
sometimes i wanna give in
I've been rehearsing in my mind
so i'll be ready when its time

It will be the scariest time
I'll have my show clothes ready
Just for a moment in time

A Dead Location

Whatever happened to the library as it was known?

That is the question i am seriously faced with and with that comes a mammoth of other issues affecting society today that you should not get me started with.
Employers are complainig on a daily basis about the lack of well educated graduates and on saturday and sunday, i saw one of the reason why.

As some of you are aware, i am taking my final exams for my M.Sc course so i needed a place to study. Unlike a lot of people, i do not have the will power to study at home with the tv, cable, computer and dvd player all in attendance.

I decided that i had to drive far away form my house to a library so that i could concentrate but to my utter dismay, i was met with the reality of the modern libraries.

I was confronted with people having a laugh as louds as 70dB in sound pressure level bearing in mind that you need 10dB in a library. Music was being played via the computer systems and the endless ringing of mobile phones drove me up the wall.

Whatever happened to the days when you were even afraid to cough in the library for sake of disturbing others? Students nowaday have turned the library into the new "pulling" joint. It is now the place to sit and have a very audible conversation with no respect for those that seriously have to study.

More disturbing was the fact that the librarian as well was busy listening to music on her headphones. The library police can not be bothered so why should the students?

What ever happened to the good ol' days when you whispered a word and heard the sweetest of sound coming from the librarians; shhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Can you sleep when the wind blows?

Years ago, a farmer owned land along the Atlantic seacoast.
He constantly advertised for hired hands. Most people were
reluctant to work on farms along the Atlantic. They dreaded the
awful storms that raged across the Atlantic, wreaking havoc on the buildings and crops.
As the farmer interviewed applicants for the job, he received
A steady stream of refusals. Finally, a short, thin man, well past middle age, approached
the farmer. "Are you a good farm hand?" the farmer asked him.
"Well, I can sleep when the wind blows," answered the little man. Although puzzled by this answer, the farmer, desperate for help,
Hired him. The little man worked well around the farm, busy from
dawn to dusk, and the farmer felt satisfied with the man's work.
Then one night the wind howled loudly in from offshore.
Jumping out of bed, the farmer grabbed a lantern and rushed
next door to the hired hand's sleeping quarters. He shook the
little man and yelled, "Get up! A storm is coming!
Tie things down before they blow away!"
The little man rolled over in bed and said firmly, "No
sir. I told you, I can sleep when the wind blows."Enraged by the response, the farmer was tempted to fire him on
the spot. Instead, he hurried outside to prepare for the storm.
To his amazement, he discovered that all of the haystacks had
been covered with tarpaulins. The cows were in the barn, the chickens
were in the coops, and the doors were barred.
The shutters were tightly secured. Everything was tied down.
Nothing could blow away. The farmer then understood what his
hired hand meant, so he returned to his bed to also sleep while
the wind blew.
When you're prepared, spiritually, mentally, and physically,
you have nothing to fear. Can you sleep when the
wind blows through your life?
The hired hand in the story was able to sleep because he
had secured the farm against the storm.
We secure ourselves against the storms of life by
grounding ourselves in the Word of God.
We don't need to understand, we just need to hold
His hand to have peace in the middle of storms.

A Beautiful Dream

Last night i had a beautiful dream i won't forget
I was happily married and my wife was pregnant
She had your lips and she had your eye
She had nice curly hair and her smile was wild
I can't front, i am tripping
Thinking of her innocent voice everytime she giggled

In my dreams i was there when you gave birth
We have been through alot of ish but it was worth it
When she arrived was when my life changed
All the clubbing and clubs all went away
She's so innocent, cute as a button and she's spoilt as ish

The day i have a daughter will change my world
But for now, you'll be my baby girl.

I'm about to snap

I don't really want to snap, but i'm about to
Lord i'm about to
Tired of being disrespected, then neglected, then rejected
First you kiss on me
Then you piss on me
Then you wish i was gone

Tired of being the only one loving
while you are out clubbing
What am i; nothing?
I'm disgusted, cos in you i trusted
I feel like bursting a ..........

Why is my sista disregarded
broken hearted, pimped and proded
You get her knocked up then you get locked up
Why is my sista wearing sunglasses
Why is she asking where the abortion clinic at?
All cos you wanted to be the man

Let me try and compose myself
Lord where are you now
What am i supposed to do
Give me an exit route Lord
Cos i'm about to snap

Tis the season

Once again, that season of the year has rolled by again.
I want to say a very Merry Christmas to you all and hope that this season is a season of blessings and joy for all of you.
To all of you and to all the citizens of blogville, i say
HAVE A MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Looking ahead

About two weeks ago, i was blessed with the loosing of some seriously heavy load on my shoulder. While at that time i struggled to confess my desire to drop this load, i was ultimately happy when i was able to slope my shoulders and drop the baggage.

I am once again able to stand up striaght without the added weight of some of the things i loathe weighing me down.

I am back to being able to look squarely ahead of me and pursue the Holy grail of purpose i have set for myself.
