I have suddenly been hit with the realisation that contrary to my stand of not having expectations of people, i actually suffer from expectationitis.
Does this make me a hypocrite after many years of preaching about expectations?
I used the phrase "Duty of care" last night.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Somebody slap me!!!!!!!!
That is the biggest sign of expectationitis!

It is of my personal opinion that the day you stop 'expecting' of those you supposedly care for, is the day you stop caring for them! We have to go through life expecting the best of people in this utterly imperfect world. After all, the fulfilmemt of one's expectations can only reinforce and build your relationship with dear ones. Besides, not expecting anything of anyone is surely giving up on them and in a way living as an island. Anyway, I hope in my little ramble I have made an iota of sense....
